NOAID is a Finnish-Romanian rock band featuring the distinctive voice of vocalist Horatiu Ghibu. The band’s music is a collaborative effort between songwriter and bass player Juha Granberg, guitarist Mikko Suontausta, vocalist Horatiu Ghibu, session drummer Samuli Pessala, and keyboardist Felix Hildén. NOAID has recorded most of the drums for the upcoming album and are currently working on guitars and basses in home studios, while continuing to arrange a few final songs before heading back to Fantom studios in Tampere, Finland, in December 2024. Some people have compared our music to bands like Amorphis, Kingston Wall, Poets of the Fall, Von Hertzen Brothers, HIM, and Suburban Tribe. We are flattered about that even though we believe our sound and style is unique. The name NOAID is inspired by the Sámi word noaidi (meaning witch).
